3. The Book of Exodus is AWESOME!
Second book of the Bible and is vital for understanding the Torah (5 Books of the Law)
Holds much of the historical background of Israel
Provides framework for understanding God in the Old Testament and how He works in the New Testament
Clearly a continuation of the Genesis story
If Genesis is the Bible’s “Table of Contents,” then Exodus is the “Introduction to the Main Character,” that is, God.
Exodus can be viewed as the Bible’s “Intro to God.”

8. The God who Hears
Exo 2: (CEV) After the death of the king of Egypt, the Israelites still complained because they were forced to be slaves. They cried out for help, and God heard their loud cries. He did not forget the promise he had made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and because he knew what was happening to his people, he felt sorry for them.
