CommScope’s sales for 2007 were $1.93 billion up 18% on 2006 with a record operating income of $287 million. Welcome to the Q2 Communication call. For the next 30 minutes, we’re going to talk about the Road to Intelligence and Breaking Down the Barriers. Presenter Names 24 24

25 The SYSTIMAX 360 iPatch Solution
SYSTIMAX 360 Panel/Network Manager SYSTIMAX 360 High Density Fiber Shelf SYSTIMAX 360 iPatch 1100 Panels SYSTIMAX 360 G2-1U LC Shelves SYSTIMAX 360 iPatch Upgrade Kits The SYSTIMAX 360 iPatch Solution is, at a high level, comprised of three areas – software, control, and connectivity. For software, System Manager continues to be at the heart of the solution, offering two options – Standard and Enterprise Editions. Which one is right for your customer? Well, it depends on a few key areas – Users, Discovery and Control, Client Accessibility and External Application Interaction. Let’s quickly review these four areas. Users – If the customer would like more than 5 simultaneously user logins, go with Enterprise. Discovery and Control – If the customer would like to discover devices and VLANs or control switch ports, go with Enterprise. Accessibility – If the customer would prefer to use a web client, whether from a system or a web-enabled PDA, go with Enterprise. External application interaction – If the customer would like to have System Manager interact with another application, such as OpenView and IPCelerate, go with Enterprise. For control hardware, we are excited to announce the new SYSTIMAX 360 Panel Manager. Panel Manager provides “Rack Manager” functionality in half the space, at a reduced price point. With the new architecture, Panel Manager also provides implementation flexibility. We’ll discuss this architecture in a bit more detail shortly. For connectivity, SYSTIMAX 360 brings performance and ergonomics to Intelligent copper and fiber panels. In addition, we have a new high density fiber shelf. This new Intelligent shelf was inspired by InstaPATCH and provides 72 duplex LC connections in 2U footprint. [Next Slide]

The next generation Rack Manager Rack Manager functionality in less space Significant savings over Rack Manager Plus for racks/cabinets that do not require Network Manager function Supports up to 45 panels Display is separate from the base unit Permits flexible mounting options: 1U Rack Mount (as shipped) Zero U Mount (Rack Accessory in development) Redundant power capability Now for the first of two exciting innovations – Panel Manager. Panel Manager is the next generation of Rack Manager Plus. Named for its function – controlling and managing panels – it requires half the mounting space (or less) of Rack Manager Plus, yet has increased density, supporting up to 45 panels. And with its new architecture, the display can be separated from the base for the ultimate in mounting flexibility. Imagine mounting and consuming zero Us of rack space! How? Well, mount the base on a vertical and attach the display to the inner portion a cabinet door… Out of the box Panel Manager will come with a 1U mounting bracket, though rack accessories, such as a zero U mounting bracket are planned. And as an added benefit, Panel Manager provides redundant power capabilities. Finally, an add on Network Manager module is in-work. Once released, Network Manager connectivity can be added to only those Panel Managers which require WAN TCP/IP accessibility. Why is this important, you ask? Well, because now customers only pay for what they need, where they need it. And the cost savings of not including Network Manager functionality in every unit translates to significant cost savings for the customer! I think that covers Panel Manager, so let’s move on. 27 New Network Manager Module
Panel Manager Display is used to program NM settings Network Manager (one per RM LAN) Panel Manager (one per rack/cabinet) NM mounts on 1U bracket next to Panel Manager In the context of the Road to Intelligence and Breaking Down Barriers, it is important to briefly tie in the soon to be released Network Manager module. The Network Manager Module, is an add-on box that enables communication from the RM LAN to the System Manager server. It is literally a little black box, slightly smaller than the base unit of the Panel Manager. Packed full of features, this add-on device connects directly to the Panel Manager and is programmed using the Panel Manager display. Other features include a “power out” port, allowing the power source connected to the Network Manager to be shared across to the Panel Manager. Next, let’s put all the pieces together – SYSTIMAX 360 panels/shelves, control (Panel Manager/Network Manager) and System Manager… NM can also power Panel Manager NM connects to Panel Manager with standard cord (RM LAN port) 27 27

SYSTIMAX 360 performance, appearance and ergonomics Supports up to 72 duplex LC (144 fibers) in 2U footprint InstaPatch Plus modules for fast MPO connectivity Pre-terminated OptiSPEED, LazrSPEED and TeraSPEED Modules I mentioned two exciting innovations. Here is the second – an Intelligent High Density fiber shelf. Inspired by InstaPATCH, the G2 High Density (HD) fiber shelf has more than good looks. It is a pre-terminated modular configuration providing MPO connectivity. Each module support 24 duplex LC connections, for a shelf total of 72 duplex LC connections (144 fibers), all within a 2U footprint. The orientation of each module is auto-detected and reported back to the System Manager software, while each LC port has the trademark features of SYSTIMAX Intelligence – trace button and LED. The pre-terminated modules are available in LazerSPEED, TeraSPEED and OptiSPEED. [Next Slide]
