4 Academics Grades Important:  Tutoring required if struggling Tutoring will be offered during the school day. 2:15 Students must be with their coach, not roaming the halls. 

5 Cheer Season – unlike any other activity

June 6 Physical at NHS – 3pm Must have physical form completed June 7 Pool Party – 2:30pm

7 Practices (Mandatory)
Must be in practice uniform – no jewelry. Practice Schedule: Mon., Tues., Thurs. Gym (Tues.) days required practice - stunting Other practices as needed will be scheduled or times extended if needed. Times are subject to change. Not having a ride, arriving late or leaving early  is not an excuse.  Find a buddy if you need help.  

8 Practices (Mandatory)
No substitutes – be at all practices for the full amount of time Schedule dr. appt. around practice times. If present at school and miss practice must have a doctor’s note. Routine dr. visits are not excused – schedule on Wed.

9 Practices (Mandatory)
Cannot choose another activity or practice over cheer, like driver’s education – take over summer, rec. sports, etc.  & excessive absences will result in dismissal No cell phones at practice – coaches will have theirs for an emergency  

10 Games (Mandatory) JV Football – Thursday Nights Varsity – Friday Nights Basketball Game (2 days a week) (girls & boys) Away games (varsity) can have very late return times, school nights included.

11 Games (Mandatory) Games will fall before a holiday. Check the schedule & mark all games on your calendar. All cheerleaders must attend the game. Do not use as punishment because that affects the entire team.

12 Game Attire Proper uniform must be worn in order to cheer Only uniform items can be worn with the uniform including shoes Hair & nails must be a safe length for stunting Consult coach before making a dramatic change Uniformity is key for a team Washing care

13 Misc. Drama/Bullying/Attitude blatant or underlying not tolerated; 3 demerits & will be removed. Varsity girls can earn a letter – guidelines Cheerleaders can be moved from Varsity to JV or JV to Varsity

14          Misc. We will do our best to prevent injuries. Communicate through & text Aug. 1 Fall Season – no vacations Please do not ask to miss practices/games Coach must be present when stunting or tumbling Attendance is required if injured Cheerleaders communicate with coaches, not the parent’s responsibility

15 Timeliness Please pick up students on time for practices & games; habitual tardiness will result in benching. We also have other personal & school responsibilities. Written notes are needed to ride home with another ADULT other than a parent to include phone numbers (form).

16 Causes for Dismissal Cheerleading is extracurricular Bullying in person/social media 2 ISS referrals/OSS results in dismissal (watch tardies) Excessive absences or tardies Negative talk and/or disrespect to coaches or other team members by parents or students

17 We have many participants and not everyone will agree with the coaches’ rules & decisions.
Call or us directly if you have any questions or concerns. Please refrain from talking to other parents about concerns as miscommunication can occur and cause discontent and dismissal from the team.

18 Competitions Competitions are required.  Cost is between $25-$50 per girl per competition - We will fundraise for this. (Required) Selling water at graduation with the band Fundraisers will go to the school’s account  for equipment, parties, gifts, competitions, mats uniforms, nationals, etc. Snap-Raise to lower cost of camp & fees.

19 Fees 360 Camp-UNC Chaple Hill Aug. 2-4(Required)   76 Clothes (new every year)   25 Compression shorts   54 Bag w/name   66 Shoes (new every year)   12 Game Day Shirt (new every year)   19 Sports Bra (optional) Gym fees to gym 10 a session/ 2x /month minimum We supply uniform, bows, poms, & warm ups.
