How the App Solves This Problem
Invisalign users currently don’t have an easy way to keep track of when to change their aligners.
A prominent aligner change countdown and notification reminders make it easy for patients to stay on track.
Invisalign users have inconsistent experiences at the start of treatment and often feel overwhelmed with information.
Patients walk through a simple onboarding experience and are presented with aligner “Use & Care Tips” to help them get the most out of their Invisalign treatment.
Invisalign users sometimes have questions after they leave the doctor’s office.
Patients enjoy easy access to aligner “Use & Care Tips,” helpful information and a way to contact Invisalign patient care.

7. Key Features and Functions
What Does It Do?
Authentication
The user enters their name and Invisalign ID as printed on their aligner bag to validate that they’re an Invisalign patient.
Account Setup & Login
The user sets up their account and login credentials to access their profile.
Onboarding Questions
The user enters information about their treatment plan including their current aligner number, the date of their next aligner change, how many days their doctor instructed them to wear each aligner and the time of day they prefer to change their aligners.
Aligner Calendar & Tools
The user can easily view the number of days left until they change their aligners, indicate when their aligners have been changed, reset the aligner change countdown and snap a selfie.
Notifications and Reminders
The user will receive notifications on their device reminding them to change their aligners. Tapping the notification will open the app and display the “change” button.
Aligner Use & Care Tips and Information
The user can view helpful treatment information, guidance and tips to enhance their experience and keep them on track.
Contact Patient Care
Where available, the user can submit questions or comments to our patient care team. Patient care will respond via or phone.
Apple Watch Notifications
The user can receive reminders and notifications on their Apple Watch.
The app is optimized for phones/handsets only. It will work on an iPad or an Android tablet, but the app is not designed for larger screens.

18. Using The App Name
The only time you’ll ever use the name “My Invisalign” by itself is when you’re branding the app on its own or in branded collateral advertising. In these instances, the name should be displayed prominently and set apart from other text.
When you refer to the app in text (e.g. as copy in a paragraph or paragraph heading) then “My Invisalign” should be used as an adjective modifying a noun, such as:

You can easily demo the My Invisalign app to professionals using your iOS or Android phone.  This is not a full functioning app, but a functional prototype that will allow you to show professionals how the app works without the hassle of signing in and dealing with a security PIN. You will need an internet connection to use this demo. Here’s what you do…

This will launch the demo.  Here are a few notes/tips:
This demo focuses on key functionality. Tap the screen to see the tappable areas, which are highlighted in blue.
From the Landing screen if you tap “Register Now” you will go through the onboarding process. If you tap “Sign In” it will take you directly to Home.
On the Home screen, tap the Invisalign icon to go back to the Landing screen.

You must enter your Invisalign ID, first name and last name as printed on your aligner bags.
What should I do if I have trouble validating that I’m an Invisalign patient?
Visit to contact our patient care team for help.
What information do I need to provide to set up my aligner tracking calendar?
You’ll be asked to provide your current aligner number, the total number of aligners in your treatment, the date you’re scheduled to change to your next aligners, how many days your doctor instructed you to wear each aligner and the time of day you prefer to change your aligners.
Can my doctor see the information I’ve entered into the app and monitor my progress?
Not at this time. You can always show the app to your doctor during appointments, but they don’t have direct access to your profile or the information you enter into the app.
