As a member of the team, or as a team leader, the goal is to avoid or eliminate conflict.
To do this effectively, one needs to understand the root causes of team conflict. ..the illustration shows two mules figuring out for themselves that they need to work together, and HOW to do so. Unfortunately, many teams cannot do this without leadership intervention. Once things have gotten to the point of major internal conflict, a “can’t see the forest for the trees” syndrome sets in and individual members need an outside point of view.

Objectives To unfreeze self by understanding behavioral disposition towards innovation; To know the intensity of various behavioral blocks operating within a person; To collect data for interpretation and further applications and link it with Self rating.

Interpretation The BBI scores show the intensity of scores operating on a person. Higher the strength of operating blocks, lower the chances for the person to be INNOVATIVE. Each of these blocks directly influences the individual concern for excellence. At the same time they mutually impact each other. For experiencing excellence in any field- technical, professional, managerial or leadership one has to make a conscious effort to reduce the impact of such blocks to the minimum.

0 – 30 % - striving for excellence, eager for growth and change, problem solver, initiator, enjoy challenges, etc 31% – 50% - show some sign of sporadic efforts to initiate, face blocks in mild form. 50% above – living routine life, contribute least needed for survival, highly dependent on others and enjoy stagnancy.

Negative Risk Propensity (NRP)
The extent of fear of failure to which person is suffering and not ready to take risk of starting anything new or challenging.

Allergy to Ambiguity (AA)
The degree of certainty, clarity and familiarity with new environment one seeks before starting any sort of involvement. In other words, degrees of intolerance one shows to ambiguity existing in the environment, persons or responses.

Aversion to Criticism (AC)
The extent of aversion one has towards initial non- acceptance/opposition or critical feedback/comment made by others. It also means degree of isolation one experiences by trying something different or innovative.

Conditioned Conformity (CC)
It shows the extent of conditioning one has undergone to conform the normative behavior and embarrassment one feels in making deviation.

Resource Myopia (RM) This refers to the inability to perceive, locate and mobilize resources to pursue new ventures or anything any sort of innovation- technical or professional. It also shows the feelings of helplessness and lack of enthusiasm for self exploration in want of given resources.

Response Rigidity (RR)
The degree to which one lacks flexibility and adherence to the past, old traditional practices and process.

Threatened Comforts (TC)
The feeling of loosing comforts, disturbing peace, increase botheration of adopting change and finally breaking the joy of inertia.
