1. The story of Dawud and Jalut
Source: Quran, Surat-ul-Baqarah verses:
After Musa a.s passed away “the children of Israel” disobeyed Allah they went as far as worshiping idols.
Allah punished them by letting their enemies defeat them and taking the Tabut (ark of covenant)
Allah sent a new prophet to “the children of Israel” called Shamwil (Samwel, or Simon)
The children of Israel asked for a king.
Shamwil appointed Talut to be the king.

2. Tabut was brought from the heavens carried by Angels of Allah, down to the house of Talut to prove him king.
Talut prepared the army to fight against Jalut the giant and his army.
Not drinking from the river was a test for those to follow king Talut. Only 310 passed the test.
Soldiers of Talut fear the army of Jalut. They call to Allah to grant them patience and steadfastness.
Dawud a young soldier volunteers to fight Jalut. Dawud kills Jalut. Talut and his army win the war.
