Character Round: Many traits for the character are explored and described Dynamic: The character grows and changes—perhaps learning throughout the course of the story Flat: The character is not expanded upon. 3 6. Figurative Language Language that is descriptive. Often using literary devices such as simile and metaphor to give the reader a better understanding of the scene, character, or idea.

5 15. Mood The emotion or feeling created by the author. Setting may contribute to this as does the description by the narrator.

6 16. Narrator The character or entity that tells the story
