When all entries have been received, MLTCC coaches will grade players by standard. Entrants must be available to be scheduled anytime during the Championship week. 2 INFORMATION/RULES FOR THE JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS 2018
Entries Entries close on Monday 30th July Entry forms will only be accepted with the full fee. Only members of MTLCC may enter. Please hand into the office in an envelope marked ‘Junior Championships’ or put in “inside” post-‐box in the foyer. Players may enter the age group for which they are eligible and the age group above, except in U8, U9&U10 (U8 born in 2010 or later , U9 born 2009, U10 born 2008, u12 born in 2006/2007, u14 born in 2004 or later , u16 born in 2002 or later , u18 born in 2000 or later ) Max 3 events in total per entrant. A child who has obtained a Tennis Ireland Passport for an older age group must play in the age group of his/her passport. They are not eligible for their “date of birth” age group. In Boy/Girl Doubles events, players may select their own partner. Or players can opt for “Find me a partner” and we will our best to pair players. Partners will be drawn for Mixed doubles. Scoring/Draws We will use modified scoring, dependant on age group/standard/volume of entries. Scoring systems will be announced with draws. Please check scoring system to be used before commencing play. All age groups where there are sufficient entrants, will use multi-match formats. When entries have been received, MLTCC coaches will grade players by standard. There will be different competitions for different standards. The various draws will be posted on Tournament Software and on the MLTCC website 3 days prior to competition. Junior Committee reserves the right to limit numbers in a draw and/or cancel an Event due to insufficient numbers. Scheduling Please do not enter the competition if you are not available the full week of the tournament and on the finals date, Saturday 19th of August. Times of matches will be allocated and it is the players responsibility to ascertain the times of their matches. Due to the volume of matches, we are unable to accommodate requests for schedule changes. Competitors not present when required to play will be scratched. Important Only white tennis clothing allowed on court. Players must adhere to MLTCC code of conduct. (Junior Noticeboard & Web). Players and parents must adhere to MLTCC Code of Ethics which is in line with Tennis Ireland guidelines. In all matters of dispute, the decision of the Junior Committee and Referee is final. By entering the tournament you give permission for your child to be photographed and/or filmed by or on behalf of the committee for promotional purposes. If you do not permit this, please let us know.
