@ONCAcampaign #nutritionalcare Healthy Community Project – HP (Belgium) Focus on nutrition and physical activities, for people with severe and multiple ID – based on my experience Adapted nutrition Focus on: chewing and swallowing problems + diets Several factors can influence the nutrition situation and makes nurturing in this target group very complex An individual focus on taste, consistency, presentation and composition Theme: ‘Food is a festivity!’

@ONCAcampaign #nutritionalcare Healthy Community Project – HP (Belgium) 6 events in the care home Ter Heide, in 3 years ( ) Bringing this target group together with students, parents, personnel of institutions (chefs, therapists, paramedical staff), firms and SOB. For the most vulnerable people in terms of nutrition and movement They have a choice of flavors in adapted food Each visitor also enjoy the meals -> roles are reversed

@ONCAcampaign #nutritionalcare Realisations after 5 of the 6 events in Ter Heide: Local TV and radio, articles in newspapers and professional magazines EFAD conference 2017: Poster-presentation State secretary for people with disabilities: Present at 4 events Presents the HC Project at workshops of the UN Flemish Minister of Health was present National Minister of Health invited me to present the HC Project to her staff Interest of several health organisations and firms
