FIRST YEAR EXPERIENCE First-Year Seminar (FYS)
"Take an FYS course because it introduces you to friends on campus, familiarizes you with the campus resources available including the Career Center, AOK Library, and Writing Center, and affords you the opportunity to explore a unique topic that you have an interest in. " " It was different because we were provided a lot of resources and help for our assignments, and basically our professor guided us on how we could succeed in her class. " Introduction to an Honors University (IHU) "I learned from my instructor and peer facilitator each Friday on how to properly find academic help on campus, work on time management, and also get involved in student life. My instructor is still my mentor to this day and is the advisor to one of my student organizations, and without her I would not be the student leader I have become today.”
