3. Introduction
Saudi Specialized Laboratories Co. 'MOTABAQAH' has been incorporated in 2006 with the regulation of the private labs
release, under the Registration Commercial No. ( ) with capital of (SR 500,000,000).
MOTABAQAH' is specialized in setting up testing and calibration labs, providing services of testing and analysis for all locally manufactured and imported materials/products. MOTABAQAH and its wholly owned and operating 18 testing laboratories all over the kingdom. Covering 10 different industry sectors.
Motabaqah Objective:
It aims to protect consumers from safety risk associated in use of products.
MOTABAQAH aims to be a partner in maintaining the safety and public health, protecting the consumer and
environment, and enhancing the competitive of national products through the application of the Saudi and
international standards.

7. Construction& Building Materials Testing Laboratory (CBML)
CBML has a complete, state of the art Infrastructure in the field of Construction Material Testing as per International & SASO Standards & Specifications.
CBML was initially established in 2011 in Riyadh, which has been designed with capabilities of wide ranges of test in the field of Construction and Building materials (Raw and final products) such as Soil, Concrete, Steel, Aggregate, Cement, Asphalt, Bitumen and all types of building materials.

9. New Technical Regulation by SASO:
According to the new technical regulation by SASO, starting 1st January, 2018, it is now MANDATORY for exporters and importers of water consumption Sanitary Appliances and Tap wares to have their products labeled in alignment with SASO Water Efficiency Labeling Program.

12. Electrical Product Testing Laboratory (EPTL)
(EPTL) is one of the flagship laboratories for issuance of test reports for determination of electrical and
electronic products safety in accordance to SASO and International standards (IEC & ISO).
EPTL acquires accreditation certificate from Saudi Accreditation Council (SAC) & Gulf Accreditation Committee (GAC).
Laboratory is equipped with latest equipment and technically competent personnel. It provides customer with timely, accurate, reliable and technically competent test reports.
It offers electrical product safety testing, it aims to protect consumers from safety risk associated in use of electrical & electronic products.
Products:
Household and similar products. E.g (kitchen machines, water heaters, air conditioners, Freezers, hair styling products.
Lightings including Luminaires. E.g (lamps, holders, control gear, starter, street lights, aquarium and swimming pool lights etc.
IT and Industrial products. E.g (Desktops, printers, scanners, motors, power sources, cables, wires, Sockets)
EPTL is an accredited lap to issue the Gulf Cooperation Council “GCC” conformity mark, the G-mark and EER certificate
for electrical products.

13. The Gulf Mark (G Mark) for Low Voltage Electrical Products and Appliances (GCTS):
G-Mark is a certification that indicates the conformity of the product bearing it with the related Gulf standards and technical regulations, it’s built similarly to the famous CE marking that indicates conformity with European regulations for products entering EU market.

Toys destined for sale and/or distribution in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)
Member States - Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab
Emirates and Yemen – must conform to GCC Technical Regulation on Children’s Toys (BD ) and display the GCC conformity mark, the G-mark.

What Is An Under-Run Protective Device?
See that horizontal bar mounted behind the rear wheels of the trailer? That's the Under-run Protection Bar:
The Under-run protection bar enables small and large vehicles to make bumper-to-bumper contact. This greatly reduces fatalities & serious injuries to the occupants in the car.

There are many companies which are manufacturing the device and will install it on the trucks.
Their names can be found on the website of SASO.
Code of the Device
-A specific CODE on the Protective Device is mandatory.
-The code of the standard device can be derived from SASO.
-This code helps authorities know the details of the company, the manufacturer, the kinds of devices they have etc.
Note : No two devices can come with the same code number.
