-Religion is an organized system of beliefs, ceremonies, and rules used to worship a god or a group of gods.

It has no historical founder.
Tolerance & Diversity- “Truth is one, paths are many.”
Both a philosophy and way of life.

Founded by a Prince Siddhartha Gautama who gave up everything to become “enlightened”
Buddhism is the widespread religion in China, Thailand, and Japan.
They worship through meditation and study Buddha’s teachings.

11. Judaism Jewish people are monotheistic, they believe in one God.
God spoke to Abraham and promised to look after the Israelites if they obeyed him.
Laws were written down in the Torah.
The Jewish place of worship is called a Synagogue.

12. Christianity Christianity was founded around 33 AD.
Known as the largest religion in the world with 2 billion followers.
Christianity is based on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.
Sacred text: The Bible which has the old and new testaments.

Founded by the Prophet Muhammad in the 7th century.
Muslims worship at Mosques.
