Why 48V voltage level ?
Safe in handling, the maximum voltage is < 75Vdc
- Everyone can handle 12V equipment, so 48V as well
Already in use in automotive industry
- 4 times more power compared with 12V and reuse of cable harness
- 48V x 250A = 12kW; Battery energy 48V x 80A = 3,8kWh
Already in use for island power systems
- Photovoltaic, wind energy, CO2 neutral fuel
- Power deployment can be scale-able up to >75kW
