Hertfordshire Constabulary VOLUNTEER Strategy Plan on a Page v1.4 To inspire and achieve volunteering that is valuable, versatile and supports the policing plan Vision Herts Constabulary resources and efficiency are supported through the successful deployment of actively engaged and skilled volunteers Herts Constabulary Volunteers and Volunteer Advisors feel Valued, valuable and empowered to Make a contribution Herts Constabulary operates as a centre of volunteering excellence amongst national police forces Outcomes Key Profile A volunteer role and actively engaged volunteers in every appropriate team An increase in volunteers across the Force on 2015/16 baseline Professional management information for all aspects of the Volunteer Scheme i.e. numbers of roles etc A lead volunteer in every CSP to assist in managing volunteers Professional and engaged volunteer advisors for all Force volunteers Productivity Production of meaningful monthly statistics for the Volunteer Scheme Regular & meaningful reward and recognition for volunteers and engagement with volunteer advisors Organisational buy in maximised across the Force for all aspects of the Volunteer Scheme, focusing on the added value of volunteers Publicity Effective promotion of all aspects of the Volunteer Scheme internally and externally Procedure Robust processes for all aspects of the volunteer and volunteer advisor experience including volunteer recruitment, deployment, retention and attrition. Full engagement with business leads and staff associations. Progression Recognition as a top performing Force for all aspects of the Volunteer Scheme. Innovative approach to the development of volunteer roles, continued engagement to adopt evidence based approaches Promotion and support to organisational efficiency, integrity and diversity.
