2 background Susan’s family were Quakers, so she’d went to a private boarding Quaker school It was a miracle that she was able to attend a school as a girl because she was living in the 1800’s

3 Did you know facts? Susan went to new York in 1826,6 years AFTER she was born She taught in a school called Canajoharie academy in new York (The big apple)

4 Partnering up Susan had met a women named Elizabeth Candy Stanton
They worked together for about 50 years fighting for equal rights

5 Working Together Both women worked together as a team and they both were a perfect match Susan was a great speaker and Elizabeth loved to write, so she wrote the speeches

6 How It Happened Susan went to a meetings and wanted to go up there and speak. A man told her that women were ment to listen and learn from men. She was mad and formed a group. She ask Elizabeth to help, and she said yes.

7 Fighting for rights They started to get women join them so they could all fight for rights

8 Speaking Up Susan was finally able to speak for herself in a meeting

9 N.W.S.A. Susan was able to form a group called the National Women’s Suffrage Association (N.W.S.A). Susan's mother was the president of the American Women Suffrage Association (A.W.S.A).

10 African Americans When Susan B. Anthony was trying to fight for rights for African women, the men said that men who are African go first and women have to wait even longer for there turn

11 Can’t Live To See Elizabeth and Susan never had the chance to see the movement. They’d died, but more and more people joined the movement. They won! 

12 Right Now Susan's house became a museum for everyone to see
Almost everyone around the world still remembers the story of Susan Browell Anthony
