5 The Power of Listening Most people do not listen to another person, they are waiting to say what they have to say In conversation, listening is as important as speaking

6 What makes a good idea? In a debate, ask yourself:
What is the best idea? What is the strongest idea? What is the most valid idea? What is the most interesting idea? Is the idea easy or hard to defend? Is the solution clear and simple?

7 The Pros and the Cons To every conversation idea, there are pro (or benefits) and there are cons (or drawbacks) Ask yourself what they are for each idea? Are there more cons than pros? Think about dogs vs. cats What are the pros and cons for owning a dog? What about a cat? Pros Cons

Is it good or bad to have an abortion? Why? Will it truly make you happier? Why? If you don’t have surgery, can you succeed in life? Where does true beauty lie?
