3 NHS and Mr. Dresback are very supportive of our program. However, school funding is very limited and the vast majority of the budget for the band is provided by the booster families and community support. We receive our primary funding from: Membership fees Fundraising: 5k, First Coast Marching, etc Community Sponsors United Way Contributions Other Corporate Donations

8 3 rd Annual Marching Competition All band students will participate so please mark your calendars today! Opportunity to raise money for our band program! Parent Volunteer Meeting: September 11 th at 7pm in PAC One member per family needs to attend

9 Program Advertisements and Concessions are our primary ways to profit. Donations and Sponsorships: Please approach the businesses you visit often. Ex: dentists, doctors, hair stylists, vets, cleaners, lawn maintenance, lawyers, insurance dealers, car dealers, restaurants, etc. Ideas for advertisement: student ads or section ads Please visit Jennifer Bongiorno at Potluck for more information!

10 Student Folders – Your childs folder will be at our information table in the cafeteria. Your statement will direct you to one of two lines. If you have a BLUE paper in your envelope, please see Denise Roemer at the student accounts table. If you have a WHITE paper, please take the ticket attached and go to the uniform room to pick up band uniform. $100 Pre-Season practice $ 50 Reserve your spot fee (was due 8/5) $200 2nd Membership payment (was due 8/5) $150 3rd Membership payment (due 9/30) Payments are being accepted at the student accounts table in the cafeteria.

11 Merchandise Sales: we will have merchandise for sale. These items include: stadium chairs, visors, drawstring bags, magnet, green t-shirts, and Chaperone shirt We have an order form available if your size is not in stock. ** If you are chaperoning, you will need to purchase a NEASE chaperone shirt---all volunteers for the band must go to our website and fill out the countys volunteer form.

12 Rehearsals Participation is required in all rehearsals. If a problem should arise, please contact Mr. Johnson directly. We rehearse two-three days a week and will hold Camp days once per month. Fridays, the kids stay after school and run through the show before the meal. Performances The reason we have rehearsals is to have better performances. The performances and rehearsals are a portion of their grade as stated in the course catalog. There is always an entry fee for competitions. Information will be sent with details!

14 Required Attire – All band students must wear solid black shorts, show t-shirt, and tall black socks under their uniform and bring their band cooler. Guard attire as described by coach and guard mom. Meals – We will serve meals to the students before all home games. *Merchandise will be on sale during our dinner hour! Buses – We will bus students to and from all away games. If you want to take your student home after an away game and not ride the bus, then you must provide Mr. Johnson with a signed note stating that you are taking your child.

16 The band usually works on 5-10 different selections at a time. FBA Pieces take priority. Solo and Ensemble All students are expected to play regardless of ensemble they are in. If they are in class, they must be playing!!!
