Below are some simple instructions on how to use this template:
1. You can change the text in the graphical screen above or in the outline area to the left. 2. There is one default background that is indicated by “ ” .This slide acts as a space or a blank screen, use to clear or blank the screen. If you have a large graphic such as a map you could also use this screen. If you insert a new slide you will get this default background.
3. The first five slides have the other backgrounds for the set. To use more than one of these background types in your presentation highlight the one you wish to use and choose copy from the edit menu. Paste this slide where you want it to appear in your presentation, then change the text on this new slide. By copy/pasting the slide in this manor you will keep the background, text formatting and the customized animation from that slide. By using the copy/paste method you find it saves you time and keeps a consistent look through out your presentation.

5. John 15:4, “You all abide in the sphere of Me, as I want you to, and when you do I will abide in you. As the branch is not able to produce fruit by means of itself unless it abides in the sphere of the Vine. So neither are you all able to, unless you abide in the sphere of Me.”

6. Characteristic of Abiding / Fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ:

7. 1) Abiding in Christ begins at the moment of our salvation, 1 John 4:15.

8. 2) Abiding in Christ is characterized by being filled with and walking in dependence of God the Holy Spirit, 1 John 1:7; 2:6, 27; 3:24b; 4:13; Eph 5:8-10.

9. Eph 5:8-10, “For you were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light (for the fruit of the Light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth), trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord.”

10. 3) The rejection of sin temptation keeps you abiding in Christ, 1 John 3:6, 9.

11. 4) Abiding in Christ demands a continual relationship with the Word of God, having our minds saturated with the thinking of Jesus Christ, 1 John 2:14; 3:24a; Psa 15:1-2.

12. Psa 15:1-2, “O Lord, who may abide in Your tent
Psa 15:1-2, “O Lord, who may abide in Your tent? Who may dwell on Your holy hill? He who walks with integrity, and works righteousness, and speaks truth in his heart.”

13. 5) The one who abides in Christ does not depart from the true gospel of Jesus Christ, 1 John 2:24.

14. 6) The abiding Word of God is eternal and everlasting, 2 John 1:2.

15. 7) Abiding in Christ includes the application of Faith Rest, Psa 91:1.

16. Psa 91:1, “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.”

17. 8) Abiding demands the continuous application of the New Commandment: “love one another”.

18. Therefore, abiding in Christ is related to the application of impersonal / unconditional love for all mankind, 1 John 2:10; 4:12, 16.

19. 9) Giving is a demonstration of your love and abiding in Christ, 1 John 3:17.

20. 10) The rejection of false doctrine and those who teach it is a demonstration of abiding in Christ, 2 John 1:9-11.

21. 11) Abiding in Christ gives you confidence for the BEMA seat judgment of your works performed on earth, 1 Cor 3:10-15 cf. 1 John 2:28; 4:17.

22. John 15:10, “If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.”
