15 Teacher Specialist 1. Students in Poverty 2. English Learners
Teacher Specialists are highly qualified, highly trained teachers in a specified area who work to develop and deliver professional development to teachers. One teacher in each speciality for North Stockton and one for Lodi, equaling a total of 28. 1. Students in Poverty 2. English Learners 3. Parent Engagement 4. Technology 5. Special Education 6. 16 Requirements Maintain confidentiality
Three additional work days per school year for planning and implementation. (It is suggested that one of these be utilized for personal professional development) Be available to administrators to plan and implement PD Develop and deliver professional development based on district/school needs that are relevant within their specialty area. Minimum of two per quarter, one of which must be uploaded into the Professional Development Library and aligned with the appropriate CSTP. They must be approved by the PD department in the timeline set forth. Become familiar with the district online PD Allow teachers to visit their classroom during lessons highlighting their specialty, a minimum of three days per quarter. Jen

19 Model Teacher Model Teachers are highly qualified, highly trained teachers who work with the site administrator and Master Teachers to provide support for teachers on improvement plans and advise/train new teachers. The Board of Education envisions a Model Teacher stationed at most school sites. Erin

23 Master Teacher Master Teachers are highly qualified, highly trained educators who work with site administrators to develop and train other teachers. The Board of Education envisions a Master Teacher stationed at every site with twenty (20) or more teachers (currently this is approximately twenty-one (21) school sites). *(Actually 36) Tammy

(It is suggested that three of these be utilized for personal professional development) Be available to administrators and/or Model Teachers to plan and implement PD for both staff and individual teacher needs Advise/support new teachers Support Model Teachers Develop and deliver professional development based on district/school needs that are relevant.
