Where necessary, children will be provided with appropriate safety items (e.g. on the boats – life jackets will be given)

4 The centre Dormitory Dining Room

5 Dormitories Dormitories are basic but comfortable. They have an en-suite shower and toilet and bunk beds. A staff bedroom adjoins each room so the children can always contact a teacher should they need to. Please refer to the kit list as there is a new requirement that a single duvet and pillow case is provided. We have organised the sleeping arrangements based on responses for the children.

19 Getting Ready : Wednesday
Checklist! Arrive at school with your luggage and your rucksack at 7.45am Sign in with Mr Batchelor Give any spending money to Mr Brown Give any medicines and forms to Mrs Thompson Go to the toilet When your name is called, you and your parents can join the line to walk to the coach. Place your luggage in the coach, keep your rucksack, with your packed lunch in, with you.

20 Medicines. Mrs Thompson will be in the hall to collect any medicines and keep them safe until needed. It is important that any medication is within it’s expiry date, clearly labelled (with your child’s name and what the medication is for) and that it comes with clear instructions for use: dosage / times etc. Please make sure you have filled in the medicine sheet and let us know of any problems/needs. Inhalers and medicines that need to be easily accessible and used during the day will be with your child’s group leader at all times; others that are only had at bedtime or in the morning will be kept safely in the field centre. We will record each time your child has any medicine.

21 Travel arrangements. We hope the journey will take no more than 3 and a half hours and there will be a scheduled stop, near Thetford Forest, between and When we stop, the children will be able to get off the coach to stretch their legs and go to the toilet.

22 For the journey… Make sure your child brings a packed lunch in a disposable bag inside their rucksack. This can include a small bag of sweets but these are not for the journey or to be eaten on the coach. Please note, as we have children with allergies, we request that no peanut butter/Nutella/Snicker bars etc be packed for the coach. The children can bring books/ comics/ note-pads/top-trumps/magnetic travel games etc. to help keep them entertained … BUT REMEMBER NO mobile phones/ i-pod’s/gameboy’s/ PSP’s / MP3’s etc.
