IEEE WG has invited all IMT-Advanced Independent Evaluation Groups (IEG) (L /0132r1) to meet in conjunction with its Session #65 to facilitate exchange of information with each other and the proponent (IEEE). Six proposals received by Oct 7, the IMT-Advanced proposal submission deadline Proposal based on (from IEEE, Japan, TTA) Proposal based on LTE-Advanced (from 3GPP, Japan, China*) Reviewed all proposal submissions at the 6th ITU-R WP5D meeting of Oct in Dresden, Germany Considered as two technologies IEEE Technology (three proposals are technically identical) 3GPP Technology (three proposals are technically identical) All proposals considered “complete submissions” Step 3 (proposal submissions) completed and Step 4 (external evaluations) initiated Correspondence Group (CG) formed to facilitate external evaluations Evaluation Groups presented in 3rd IMT-Advanced Workshop * China proposed only TDD component of LTE-Advanced (TD-LTE-Advanced)
