10 Summary of Oct. 2009 ITU-R WP5D #6 Six proposals received by Oct 7, the IMT-Advanced proposal submission deadline – Proposal based on 802.16 (from IEEE, Japan, TTA) – Proposal based on LTE-Advanced (from 3GPP, Japan, China * ) Reviewed all proposal submissions at the 6 th ITU-R WP5D meeting of 14-21 Oct in Dresden, Germany Considered as two technologies – IEEE Technology (three proposals are technically identical) – 3GPP Technology (three proposals are technically identical) All proposals considered “complete submissions” Step 3 (proposal submissions) completed and Step 4 (external evaluations) initiated Correspondence Group (CG) formed to facilitate external evaluations Evaluation Groups presented in 3 rd IMT-Advanced Workshop * China proposed only TDD component of LTE-Advanced (TD-LTE-Advanced)
