The weary man laid his heavy head on the pillow. His sad heart broke as he thought of his faithful companion, Rover, dead and buried in the cold, winter ground.

6. Transitions
Use transition words to show relationships between description and objects:
Next to the flowering dogwood tree stood a tall, dark green pine.

7. Prompt
You’ve just visited a special place – real or imagined – that you want others to know about. You want to write an article for other students while the details are still fresh in your memory.
