Tap OK to allow the volume to be increased above the safe level’ The warning is based on the volume level only It doesn’t take any account of how long you listen or what you listen to If adhered to your content is inaudible in many common listening situations Therefore the warnings are generally ignored As a result headphone users listen too loud for too long and are at risk of permanent hearing damage

ANC reduces ambient noise so that the reproduced sound level can be turned down, reducing the users sound doses exposure
The experiment below using HearAngel proves this:
In a noisy environment with the ANC turned on, play some music and set volume level so that you can hear it clearly
After 60 seconds go to the HearAngel home screen and note 'time left' on the right hand side of the second bar down
Deactivate the ANC and increase the volume to a level where you can hear the music clearly again
After 60 seconds go to the HearAngel home screen and compare the 'time left' with the first reading you had
In tests the ‘time left’ will have reduced by between 50% and 70% with ANC off, proving that ANC enables users to listen safely, for much longer
