2. Question-Question-Will saliva dissolve a peppermint more quickly than water?
Hypothesis-If peppermints are placed in water and saliva, then the water will make it dissolve faster.
Procedure –
Materials: peppermint
ruler
timer
saliva
cup of water

3. Procedure –
Measure the width of the peppermint while still in the wrapper.Record your number and observations on the data chart.
Remove peppermint from wrapper and place in mouth or cup of water for three minutes. Do not chew or “swish.”
3. Place the peppermint back in the wrapper to measure the width.
4. Record data and observations.
5. Repeat steps #1-#3 twice.
