14 Classroom Management Behavior Management  Our classroom will be using a variety of methods in regards to classroom management.  We will not be using the color system with clips.  Behavior will be directly addressed with each student.  Students will receive specific feedback with praise through notes, Marvelous Monkeys, and parent phone calls or s about behavior.  These will include positive choices or specific areas that need to be practiced.  Student consequences will be logical consequences.  By doing this, we will be addressing the specific behavior and re-teaching the expectation. For example, if a student is not walking in the hallway appropriately, the consequence would be to practice walking in the hallway while the teacher points out what they are doing correctly.  Our class will also participate in Dragon Dollars!  Dragon Dollars are a positive behavior incentive that is a school wide program at Douglas.  We will earn them individually and as a class.  As a class we will create a list of ways to celebrate as we earn dragon dollars.  At the end of the quarter we will create a new chart of incentives.  Individual students will earn dragon dollars throughout the year as positive reinforcement for their behavior.  As a class we will create a list of things and activities that the students would like and periodically they will be allowed to shop.
