Definition: liking to tell jokes; said or done as a joke Connotation: Positive (some cases negative) Sentence: The jocular man is known for his funny punchlines.

3 Ludicrous Part of speech: Adjective Synonyms: risible, laughable
Definition: causing laughter because of absurdity; provoking or deserving derision; ridiculous Connotation: Negative Sentence: The ludicrous movie is about a dog that becomes the president of a country.

4 Mordant Part of speech: Adjective Synonyms: cutting, stinging
Definition: sharply caustic or sarcastic, as wit or a speaker; biting. Connotation: Negative Sentence: The mordant mother often used harsh words that made her son cry

5 Nettle Part of speech: Noun or verb Synonyms: annoy, incense
Definition: (n) any plant of the genus Urtica, covered with stinging hairs; (v) to irritate, annoy, or provoke. Connotation: Negative Sentence: My brother will often nettle me by reading my diary.
