5 Social Housing – The end customer – Residents / Tenants
MH has strong brand - working historically with HA’s since 2001 Utilising links within Education sector – MH partnered with LCG who have access to a pot of government funding called AEB - Adult Education Budget. Increasingly congested market place – outsourcing, costs saving over quality of service – race to bottom. This means the qualifications are fully funded at no cost to any company or individual. Different focus - How can we benefit the end user? Focus on quality, partnership, social value With HA’s we realised this could be done in two ways: Qualifications and employment outcomes for the residents Supporting training and qualifications for staff who then deliver better service to the tenants / residents. Qualifications for Residents Key Target for all HA’s to get residents on Pathway to further training and employment Courses directly linked to entry level employment opportunities within: customer services/business administration security nutrition and wellbeing childcare catering and hospitality Can do distance/online learning or classroom based where more support required No cost – great for unemployed/underemployed Employment Outcomes MH known as specialist agency – qualified/middle to senior management roles - myth Entry Level opportunities – Security, Cleaning, SEN, administration, customer service, maintenance Complete the circle of training to employment Net effect – happier residents, employed residents, reduced rent arrears, reduced ASBO, greater self-worth, changed lives Staff Training Better trained staff can give a better service to customers Reduced churn due to staff feeling more valued Could be more adept to dealing with issues of mental health and give support to residents Offer progression routes with team leading and management training Designed to work alongside existing L&D strategies and support budgets Mo INTRODUCTION 5 year journey – I initially pitched for this account and feel very strongly about the college and passionate to keep the relationship going College, Morgan Hunt, Me OFSTED success Refining offering Looking forward – The next 4 years Commitment to the College values The consultants KNOW this college, you cant buy that
