1 Warm Up Objective: Scientists will describe the policies and procedures of Ms. Reed’s classroom by analyzing clues to open the “Breakout” box. What is the topic? What will you be doing? Why is this important? How will you know if you have done well?  Once you have completed the above warm up, please work on the Student Information Sheet until time is called. The Student Information Sheet should be turned in by Friday!

Able to open box  Once you have completed the above warm up, please work on the Student Information Sheet until time is called. The Student Information Sheet should be turned in by Friday!

3 Breakout Box Rules Task Manager: Read the clues, keep everyone on task
1. Choose roles and fulfil your responsibilities: Task Manager: Read the clues, keep everyone on task Recorder: Record your group’s answers on the sheet Materials Manager: Get your group’s box, place the locks on the parking lot once open (do not allow anyone to “play” with them!), place materials back as directed Time Keeper/Cheerleader: Keep the group up to date on the remaining time, cheer on your team! EVERYONE participates in completing tasks, solving puzzles EVERYONE participates in the class debrief 2. Do not play with the locks. They are not toys! 3. Read each task carefully. If there is an area in the room with multiple keys, only retrieve your group’s! Do not remove clues from where they are positioned. 6. Record your responses (both the number/letter/arrow and information) below:
