Help Me FedEx is a small .exe file that you download to your desktop and double click to run each time you want to use it. You don’t install Help Me FedEx, but run it each time you need it. When run the screen will require you to login. All users are setup using their FedEx address and a non-LDAP password. This screen allows you to create a session for you to be able to connect to the customer. First of all you need to enter the meter # for the customer in the name field. Above we have started a session for the meter number , you can see in the next column the system has assigned a unique code number. The system keeps the codes valid for 10 minutes, which means if the customer fails to connect within 10 minutes you will need to create another code to use. There is one field on the screen that should never be used, and that’s the Quick URL link in the top right. Using this link will mean the customer does not agree to the terms and conditions and will mean we are not legally covered in the event of issues. First time users If its the first time this customer has connected with us the system will download a small file to their PC, there is no security risk and we will not be able to connect to the customer again without them calling us first. Be conscience of privacy! It’s important the customer is informed that we will have access to their PC so they should close down any sensitive information and that we should inform them about the ability to control the session from their end too.
