A – Infiltration – downward flow of water into rock or soil
B – Surface Runoff – Water on the surface which moves towards a stream or lake without infiltrating the soil
C- Water Table – The upper limit of the saturated zone
D – Groundwater flow – Water in the saturated zone that moves towards a point of discharge such as a body of water or a well
