2 What assessment tools can you explore today?
Kahoot (new self-paced mode; easy to implement in rotations!) Socrative (create own quizzes) Nearpod (online engaging presentation) Plickers (not individual devices needed) Google Forms (create surveys to collect data) TenMarks (personalized math for each student) EdPuzzle (snip your own videos for instruction) Seesaw (more than just publishing work) Formative (create or upload quizzes for quick results)

3 Kahoot! What is it? A refreshing new take on quizzing! Combining game-based learning and technology, Kahoot! gives teachers valuable feedback in a fun, engaging experience. Explore: Try out a Kahoot! Open the Kahoot app and put in the following challenge pin: Apply: Go to Kahoot.com and sign up for an account. Search for a game that you could use in an upcoming lesson. OR Login to your Kahoot account and search for a game that you could use in an upcoming lesson.

4 Plickers What is it? An assessment method that enables all students to participate because individual devices are not needed. The feedback is instant, allowing teachers to tailor instruction. Explore: Scan the QR code for a quick video showing Plickers in action. Use the Plickers cards to take the quiz as if you were a student. Apply: Do you like this assessment tool? Set up your own teacher account. Upload your class and maybe even make your first quiz or print your Plickers cards!

5 Socrative What is it? A place for you to create your own quizzes that students can easily access. The results are shown to the teacher immediately! Explore: Use iPad 2 (or your own) to log in as a student. Go to socrative.com 2. Click student login 3. Code is MCMAHAN2801 4. Take the quiz iPad 1 is logged in as a teacher so you can see what the results page looks like as students complete the quiz. Apply: Do you like this assessment tool? Set up your own teacher account. Students do not need an account of their own! They will always just log in with your class code. 

6 Nearpod What is it? An engaging, interactive presentation and assessment tool. Explore: 1. Login to your Nearpod account 2. Go to the “Reports” tab and explore how these report options can help you plan your lessons, form your groups, and better personalize learning for your students. Apply: Find a new Nearpod lesson that you can use in the coming days/weeks. Take it back to your students and utilize the reports feature to tailor your teaching.

7 Google Forms What is it? A tool for creating forms, surveys, and quizzes where summaries of the collected data can be displayed in helpful charts and graphs. Explore: Scan the QR code to try out a Google Quiz! In your Google account, explore the options for creating Google Forms. Apply: Are you a fan of Google Forms? Make one that you can use in your classroom. Post the link to your website, assign it in Google Classroom, or print the QR code for your students to access.

8 Formative Explore: Use ipad and login as a student
What is it? Allows teachers to create assignments, deliver them to students, receive results, and provide individualized feedback in real-time. Teachers can use the platform to create new assignments for their students from scratch, or they can upload pre-existing documents and transform them into paperless assignments. Explore: Use ipad and login as a student Go to goformative.com/join Click “Join Code” Enter in code: CXLAEQ Enter as guest and type in your first and last name Click “Get started” Ipad is logged in as a teacher so you can see what the results page looks like as students complete the quiz. Apply: Do you like this assessment tool? Set up your own teacher account. Students can make an account without an address. However, you can always just give them the class code!

9 Seesaw Explore: Use an ipad here or your own as a student 
What is it? Seesaw helps capture the learning process, not just the end result.  Students can use Seesaw's built-in audio recording, drawing and caption tools to reflect on what they've learned or explain how they got their answer. Explore: Use an ipad here or your own as a student  Tap the Seesaw app and scan the QR Code on the back Tap “Activities” on the side Choose an activity! Then Tap “Add +” to do the activity Click on “Example Student” Click “Play Instructions” at the top Follow instructions and show what you know!  Apply: Do you like this assessment tool? Can we help you with setting up your account?  You can attach standards and “skill levels” with each assessment to keep track of how your students perform!

10 EdPuzzle What is it? A way to make any video your lesson! Ever wanted to share a video for a small group and not with the whole class? Only wanted to share a snippet of a video? Want them to reflect on the video with a quick way to see results? Explore: Use iPad and login as a student Click on “EdPuzzle on the iPad” Click “Sign in with EdPuzzle” Login: JordanExample (username) (password) Click on “Example Class” on the left side Click on the video. Watch the video and answer the questions. Ipad is logged in as a teacher so you can see what the results page looks like as students complete the quiz. Apply: Do you like this assessment tool? Set up your own teacher account and choose and snip your own instructional video! It gives you step by step directions  Students can make an account without an address.

11 TenMarks What is it? A math program that provides rigorous content that’s easy-to-use for teachers who need to support students to develop a deep conceptual understanding of math (perfect math tool to fit each individual student!) Explore: Use an Ipad here or use your own to login as student  Go to TenMarks.com Click Student Login Username: example30022 Password: Click on one of the “Pre-tests” Take the pretest and look at your score Ipad is logged in as a teacher so you can see how students scored and what concepts they need support on (assigning personal work) Apply: Do you like this assessment tool?
