Place any late homework on your desk. Read the following sentences. Then, answer the questions below. Hill commanded respect for example, not by scare tactics. Hill embodied a new version of manhood for Wes- one more impressive than the bullying he’d seen pass for manhood back in the Bronx. What words or phrases in the sentences might be context clues that help you determine the meaning of “embodied”? What do you think the word “embody” means?
