2 Type of job-what options are available within the field
There are many different jobs in the field of being a cop. For example some cops may direct traffic at the scene of an accident, investigate a burglary, or give first aid to an accident victim. Also in large communities policing-a practice in which an officer builds relationships with the citizens of local neighborhoods and mobilizes the public to help fight crime.

3 Schools or organizations that offer that education of training
Some schools that offer educations for cops are John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City, New York has been offering criminal justice programs since Another example is Florida State University it offers criminology and criminal justice. Another school that offers this education is Mount West Community and Technology College, it offers justice associate degree.

4 Educational or special training requirements
The educational requirements for a cop is a high school diploma. Also some agencies require postsecondary education. Some training requirements to be a cop is you have to learn state laws, criminal investigations, patrol procedures, firearms training, traffic control, defensive driving, self-defense, first aid and computer skills.

5 Special qualities and abilities needed for someone to do the job well

6 Salary range The average starting salary for a rookie cop is $40,000 per year. For a cop that has been serving there for a while is $60,000 per year. New comers and elders get different pay an hour, rookies get $20.00 an hour and elders get paid $30.17 an hour.

7 Tommy Norman someone well known in the field
Just a regular cop. He wakes up every morning and tries to make a difference in the communities that he policies in. But, the news of the recent killings by police of Philando Castile in Minnesota and Alton Steling in Baton Rouge, Louisiana would have you believe that what officer Norman does is impossible: Norman, a white police officer often works in neighborhoods with lots of black residents.

8 My reaction to what I learned
My reaction to what I learned has changed incredibly. I never knew how fun it would be to be a police officer. I am very surprised. Also the amount of hard work that you have to put in to this job. I would love to be a police officer one day.
