7. Germanic invasions
Many Germanic tribes were forced out of their traditional homelands by the Huns
Some of these groups settled in the outskirts of the Empire’s territory
Others decided to attack the Romans
In 410, Alaric led the Visigoths to sack Rome
In 452, Attila led the Huns against Rome

The Pope convinced him not to attack Rome in 452.
Died of a nosebleed on his wedding night after he passed out from drinking too much.

10. Final fall of rome
In 476, the last Roman Emperor, Romulus Augustulus, is deposed by the barbarian Odoacer.
The eastern portion of the empire will continue as the Byzantine Empire. It will prosper for another 1000 years.
