Novel Studies
First, open your SpringBoard textbook to page 104.
Did you cite your text evidence? Meaning, did you put the page number next to each item in each box in which you found that answer? If not, go back and write the page number associated with the answers you wrote in the chart. (Ex.: p. 7)
Quiz tomorrow on verbs.
Examples of what to expect:

Standard: ELASE6RL1 – Cite textual evidence to support analysis of what the text says explicitly as well as inferences drawn from the text.
Learning Targets: Identify claims. Elect your position on these claims. Support your claim with logical reasoning and relevant evidence.

Have you written your responses like this? If not, refer to this page to help you.
Then, look at the example. It may not be for your novel, but you can see the amount and quality of writing you should write each time.
Remember to utilize your sentence starters on page 110 of your I.A.N.
You will be scored on these double-entry journals on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Keep your rubric in your reading portfolio folder.

Draw a line under your last double-entry journal. You should start your FOURTH entry today.
Use your “Sentence Starters for Reader Response” on page 110 of your I.A.N. to help you with the personal response portion of your double—entry journals.
