6 Our Class Mission… While working in our learning environment we will be helpful, respectful, and friendly. We will say nice things that include: thank you, you’re welcome, and sorry. We will give compliments to one another. We will help others, we will follow rules, and we will share.

7 Get to Know Me My experience My background
The majority of my education background comes from Holy Cross College in Notre Dame, IN. I am a 2014 graduate of Florida South Western College (formerly Edison College). I have experience with all grade levels from K-5 via my internship, practicum, volunteer hours, and substitute teaching. I was born in Chicago, Illinois and spent most of my life living in a small town in Indiana called Walkerton. Most people are not familiar with Walkerton, but when I mention it is near Notre Dame, they usually know what I am talking about!

8 My Family I am married and have three wonderful boys who are ages 13, 10, and 6. My oldest son, Ethan, attends Punta Gorda Middle School. Seth and Blake attend Sallie Jones. We have a dog named Macy. She is a Great Dane and one of our favorite things to do as a family is to take her for walks on Charlotte Harbor.

9 Communication My email: Marla.ellis@yourcharlotteschools.net
My phone: (941) I have downloaded the remind app to my phone so I can periodically send out important messages. It is free and does not send spam type things to your phone. In order to receive these messages, please text to: (941) With the message: @808c2

10 Homework You might notice your child’s homework changed slightly. All homework is due on FRIDAY. It is best for you to keep the homework folder at home during the week and return it on Friday.

11 Supplies Don’t forget the packet for parents! This includes instructions for the remind text and a supply list.

12 Parent Volunteers… Please let me know if you are interested in volunteering. I would love to have an extra hand in the classroom!
