A Note From the Kindergarten Teachers
We are practicing Habit 7 of the 7 Habits. Habit 7 is Sharpen the Saw. We are learning that balance is best. We take care of our minds, hearts, bodies and spirits. This means that we do our work, but we still take time to rest.
Please practice sight words and read with your child every day.
A Peek At What We Are Learning
Reading
We are reading nonfiction texts and finding the main idea. We are also learning how the details support the main idea of a text.
Writing
We are writing simple sentences with our sight words.
Math
We are working on solving addition and subtraction story problems.
Fundations
We are working on sounding (tapping) out words.
