A New Compact A New Compact for Education, Research, Engagement and Economic Development for the 21st Century. This vision establishes a set of core commitments and core values for the University of Missouri to contribute to sustainable economic growth, agriculture, ecology, equity, health and security. Core Commitments: -Create an institution that meets high standards of excellence in education, research, engagement and economic development for MO and beyond -Create a modern, land‐grant institution for student learning & success; faculty research & impact; and meaningful student and faculty engagement with Missouri citizens -Create a climate on each campus that values the background, experiences, and perspectives of every Missourian -Create measure of accountability for all stakeholders -Develop processes, practices and policies that encourage collaborations and progress across the 4 institutions of the system. Eliminate any barriers that discourage collaborations and progress. Core Values: -Excellence -Discovery -Innovation -Responsibility -Respect -Diversity -Community -Collaboration -Integrity -Accountability
