Thank you for the invitation to speak to you.
It is always a pleasure to meet with Student Members of IEEE and those who have recently graduated and become full IEEE Members.
In past presentations, I and other IEEE Presidents have discussed -- with groups such as this -- the benefits of IEEE membership and how you should be a member and stay a member.
But my experience over time tells me that – because you are here today – you are already aware of these everyday benefits.

Region 10 GOLD website completed and launched (
Region 10 GOLD clusters up and running(South East Asia, South Asia and Australia/New Zealand)
MGA GOLD Achievement Award (2 of 3 awards to Region 10) – Kerala and New Zealand North GOLD (Egypt GOLD award won the third award)
Region 10 GOLD individual Achievement Award, 2012 was jointly awarded to Maroof Raza and Ranjit Nair
