1 Magnet, Support and Infrastructure
Robin Wines May 6, 2016

2 Hall A Engineering Group Tasks
FY16 (6MW design/10MW engineer) Participate in the removal plan of CLEO from Cornell July – Sept We have coordinated schedule with Cornell, Jlab staff allocated to be on site during disassembly, Cornell has provided schedule, disassembly plan, lift procedure and safety document to Jlab for review. Plan to inventory and label available equipment during July visit to Cornell. Shipping of CLEO parts to JLAB scheduled for Sept - Oct 2016 – For the steel - We have defined shipping requirements, We have cost estimate, We need to clarify funds from FY16 or FY17 then get contract in place for trucks. Still need to coordinate who will unload. For the cryostat – Cornell has confirmed the transport frame can be reused. We are defining the unloading plan, which will require crane rental and additional hardware to roll into Testlab.

3 Coordinate storage of CLEO components with property management – TestLab space allocated for storage of steel and cryostat. Develop plan and coordinate setup of JLAB facility for cold test of cryostat - Cold test planning for FY18

4 3D magnet analysis to determine the amount of return iron needed to produce proper axial magnetic forces on the coils.- Jlab allocated 30% of magnet engineer for FY16, engineer available in July. 3D magnet analysis to aid in magnet mapping definition and defining forces - Jlab allocated 30% of magnet engineer for FY16, engineer available in July. FEA of magnet and detector supports - Updating CAD model as information becomes available

5 Define new power supply - no progress
Update resource loaded schedule and cost estimates; including cost benefit analysis of used equipment and definition of Jlab resources required - no progress, We will begin evaluating Cornell’s equipment during on site visits.
