What Happened
While trimming a piece of wood using electrical wood saw, the carpenter’s left hand came into contact with the saw blade resulting in hand injury.
Learning points:
The wood saw has no safety guard installed.
Recommended Actions:
Ensure appropriate safety guard are installed when using power tools.
Discuss this alert in toolbox talks and HSE meetings and
Distribute to all contractors
Post on HSE notice boards
Include in site HSE induction
