Dr. Seuss Day!!! March 21st!!! Students may come dressed as their favorite Doctor Seuss character for the day!!!! That means dress as a character or wear the school uniform! We will be doing some great activities including finishing the EVANS’ AND MARCHI’S MADNESS BRACKET for the favorite Dr. Seuss Book in first grade!!!
We will start our MAP Unit on Monday. Please help your child memorize his or her street address. Students must be able to say the following in order: “I live at (street address) in the city of ___, in the state of Ohio, in the country USA, on the continent of North America, on the planet Earth.” I will let you know the actual test date as it gets closer!
In grammar the students have been working hard on nouns, verbs and adjectives. I hope this will improve their sentence writing!
We are starting our chapter on Measurement and Data Collecting. This is usually not too difficult until we get to the part on time and reading clocks. Sooo this would be a good time to work on those math facts!!
We have been learning about healthy eating and taking care of our teeth!
