We will be reading our next story in the Reading Street series this week entitled The Statue of Liberty. We will bring our books home on Wednesday. Please reread the story that night and we will take our comprehension test on Thursday. We are learning about capitalizing proper nouns and will have our grammar quiz on Thursday. We will have our math fact test on Friday.
We will finish a unit over elapsed time in math. Our test will be on Thursday. In reading we are focusing on nonfiction text structures. We will have our comprehension test on Thursday. We are continuing writing workshop and we are focusing on writing paragraphs about nonfiction topics. We are continuing a unit in science over plants. We will learn about plant parts, plant life cycles, and photosynthesis. In grammar we are learning about capitalizing proper nouns. Our quiz is on Thursday.

March 20th –Terra Nova testing – Social Studies
March 24th – MAPS Reading test*
March 26th – MAPS Math test*
April 23rd – OAA Reading Test
Tentative date for end of year PARCC – April 30 – May 1 and May 7-8
*If you are leaving early for Spring Break, please let me know so the MAPS testing can be done early.
