1 Overview of Business Area Strategy and Products and Services

2 The purpose of the briefing is to provide an informational overview of the business strategy for this business area including the products and services that will be delivered in the future state. The decision gates for completing this step include providing this briefing to the Business Governance team(s). This briefing will describe the summary results of Step 2 of the MBT which includes stakeholder analysis, creation of business goals, objectives, and measures, and the selection of the products and services to be offered by the business area in the future.

3 Stakeholder Analysis

4 In order to focus on high priorities, the business area’s stakeholders were identified and prioritized.

5 The following few slides show the needs of each stakeholder based on our interviews with them.
This drawing shows what the business area gives the stakeholder and what the stakeholder gives the business area

6 We then analyzed the stakeholder interview results and documented the key drivers for our business area. Strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats are documented from the stakeholders in order to help determine the strategy for the future offerings of the business area

8 Based on our stakeholder analysis, we were able to develop this set of goals and objectives for our business area.

9 Our goals and objectives are mapped to our parent organization’s strategy to show how they match.
This shows that the future strategy of the business area is still in alignment with the parent organization’s strategy

10 Products and Services Analysis

11 In order to fulfill the strategy of the business area, we outlined our potential future products and services.

12 The following maturity levels were selected for each product and service within our business area.
