2 The Wellness Concept Wellness is an active process of becoming aware of and making choices toward a more successful existence. Process means that improvement is always possible. Aware means that we are continuously seeking more information about how we can improve. Choices means that we consider a variety of options and select those in our best interest. Success is determined by each individual to be their collection of life accomplishments.

Physical wellness encompasses many aspects of one’s life. To work towards physical wellness, one should aim to maintain a constant awareness of the following factors when making lifestyle choices: Physical Fitness Health Status Diet

allow your body to deliver oxygen rich blood more efficiently to the muscles. Upper and Lower Body Muscular Strength and Endurance May… make completing activities of daily living easier. decrease risk of injury by strengthening the tissue structures that support your joints. improve balance and agility.

7 Health Status Physical wellness encourages one to make a constant effort at improving any health conditions they may have or are trying to prevent. Preventative health screenings are a proactive approach one can make at monitoring and preventing health conditions.
