1 Grab a laptop and log on Do not come to Ms. Murphy with questions/issues with paper – they will all be addressed in class Go to your essay in Google Docs Get into your groups and continue peer editing – You have 20 minutes to finish peer editing and filling out your peer edit sheets You will then have 10 minutes to clean up and fix your paper before turning it in Check that your formatting is correct (12-point, Times New Roman, double-spaced; Name, Teacher Name, Class Name, Date all in the upper left corner; Last Name, Page number in the header; Title is 12-point, Times New Roman – NO underlining, NO bolding, NO all caps; No extra space between paragraphs)

2 Submitting to turnitin.com
If you already have a turnitin.com account with your you will need to use that login – if you cannot remember your login, you will have to do password recovery or create a new account with a different (I cannot reset accounts) Join the class: Class ID: Password: Eng3H3B2016 Submit the assignment to the “Narrative Essay” assignment Make sure you do “Single File Upload” NOT Copy and Paste (click on Copy and Paste to change it) Also make sure you hit “Upload” and then “Submit.” Otherwise it will not turn it in to me for grading.

3 Next, go to peardeck.com/join

4 On Canvas… Complete the WebQuest that is on Canvas under the Unit 2 section (on the main page) There is an assignment dropbox for this as well on Canvas for you to submit the assignment (“1920’s WebQuest”) You will complete this silently and independently If you do not finish by the end of class it is homework

5 If you finish the webquest
Begin reading Chapter One of The Great Gatsby Copies are available for use while in the classroom, however they cannot leave school A link to a PDF (which you can download into your Google Drive) is available through the Canvas Unit 2 page and available through my website
