Homework 1 – Due Week 5 Download the ‘week_5_homework’ zip file (website/e-class). There are two files in this folder: 1) ‘week_5_study_guide.pdf’ (contains questions about chapter 5 and 6) 2) ‘week_5_chapter_5_&_6.pdf’ (textbook material) Highlight the answers in each chapter text to the comprehension questions in the study guide. We’ll discuss the answers in our Week 5 class after finishing up Review presentations. Homework 2 – Due Week 5 and 6 The ‘week 5’ material is in support of the informative and persuasive presentations. In either Week 6 and Week 7, you will give a five-minute informative presentation; in either Week 8 and Week 9, you will give a five-minute persuasive presentation. The order of both of these speeches will be random. [50 points per presentation] To prepare for these presentations, please review the student examples in the text: “Outlining an Informative Speech” (Chapter 5, pp ), and “Outlining a Persuasive Speech” (Chapter 6, pp ), as well as the video examples ed to you.
