When Transcribing RNAPII Stalls at Damage on the DNA Template Strand, CSB and CSA Function as Adaptors to Assemble an NER Complex
Ubiquitylation is required for the fully assembled complex to initiate DNA repair. Conceivably, CSA may be responsible for the ubiquitylation that licenses TC-NER and releases CSB and RNAPII. Ubiquitin is shown as a free protein because neither the ligase nor the target protein is known.
