Welcome to another installment of the LSS Benefits Orientation recorded presentation series. This presentation focuses on the LSS EAP benefits which stands for ‘employee assistance program’! I’m Denis, and I’m Kaitlin. Every single active LSS employee is eligible for these EAP benefits, including members of our employees’ households too. Whether you are PRN, casual part-time or full-time, this benefit can help you and your loved ones.

2. EAP Benefits What is an “Employee Assistance Program”?
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is here to help when life gets overwhelming. LSS partners with Mercy to provide these services.
-All LSS employees are eligible for these benefits
-Whether you’re dealing with everyday problems or a major life event, EAP can help with free, confidential counseling, referrals and support for you and members of your household.
-The EAP counselors offer guidance and encouragement for everyday situations and are professionally trained and licensed to deal with a range of personal issues.
-As an LSS Employee, you have access to free counseling sessions either by phone or in person with a licensed counselor.
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is here to help when life gets overwhelming. LSS partners with Mercy to provide these services from a licensed counselor in a free and confidential manner. Whether you’re dealing with everyday problems or a major life event, EAP can help. All LSS employees are eligible for these benefits, and services can be provided to all members of your household too, 24 hours per day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year.

EAP counselors can help you deal with everyday problems as well as major life events. Some examples include:
Strained relationships
Stress at home or work
Anger, resentment
Budgeting and debt management
Parenting concerns
Addictions
Depression and anxiety
Conflict resolution
Communication problems
Grief and loss
Retirement and aging
And much more
Here’s a list of examples of things the EAP counselors can help you and your household members with, but this list does not include everything. So if you’re having trouble or stress with ANYTHING, you should call EAP and see if they can help you. Most likely they’ll be able to help you in some way.
